Pelajar didedahkan dengan ciri-ciri remaja yang mempunyai kepercayaan kepada Tuhan serta serba sedikit mengenai kepentingan agama dalam kehidupan seharian. Guru menyoal untuk memastikan pelajar faham maksud nilai ini.
REFLEKSI
Terdapat segelintir pelajar yang masih tidak memahami dan mengingati maksud kepercayaan kepada Tuhan dan tindakan susulan akan dijalankan untuk memastikan kefahaman mereka tentang topik yang dibincangkan melalui latihan yang diadakan secara lebih intensif

Discussion of essay entitled, “My Hopes In 2013
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
a) write a sample essay
b) correct wrong sentence structures and rewriting the correct sentence structures
LEARNING EMPHASIS

INSTRUCTIONAL PROCEDURES
a) Teacher returns students’ essays and shows their errors on the board. She calls some students to correct these wrong sentence structures.
b) Then, she explains how the essay should be written. A sample essay is given for the students to copy into their exercise books.
REFLECTION
Students’ understanding of the task is about 70% in terms of elaboration of the main ideas. However, there are noticeable grammatical errors in terms of using past continuous tense and spelling

At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
a) write in 5 paragraphs
b) write simple sentences using simple present tense
c) elaborate 4 main ideas

INSTRUCTIONAL PROCEDURES
a) Teacher asks students to list down what they want to achieve in 2013. Then she calls some of them to share it with their classmates
b) Teacher gives a topic to write on. She explains how to do the essay. She gives an example on the board. The essay is to be done as homework and to be submitted on Monday next week.
REFLECTION
The students participated in class discussion. This lesson is aimed to determine students’ writing ability before the teacher can design materials for learning in class

c) Pada akhir pembelajaran, guru menyoal pelajar sekali lagi mengenai definisi lajur dan baris
REFLEKSI
Kefahaman pelajar dianggarkan pada tahap 80%. Pelajar boleh memberikan koordinat yang betul menggunakan lajur dan baris

Pelajar mempunyai masalah untuk menjawab soalan sendiri. Mereka perlukan guru untuk menunjukkan contoh jawapan yang sesuai. Kebanyakan masa guru perlu menerangkan soalan dengan lebih lanjut

Students’ understanding of the task is about 60% in terms of some of the explained meaning of the poem. However, the teacher needs to give some comprehension questions to further test their understanding of the poem

b) construct sentences using simple past tense confidently
c) construct sentences that use sequence connectors
LEARNING EMPHASIS

INSTRUCTIONAL PROCEDURES
a) Teacher reads out the best essay to the class and comments on the usage of adjectives
b) Teacher writes down some of the errors done by the students and asks them to correct the wrong sentences
c) Teacher gives them another task in the class where she illustrates how to organize ideas and use simple past tense correctly
REFLECTION
Students’ understanding of the task is about 60% in terms of elaboration the main ideas. However, their grasp of grammar items such as simple past tense and correct sentence structure is about 50%. They will need more writing exercises
